How can I study with Master Zhang?

Master Zhang gives workshops throughout the country. Visit the events page to stay up to date with his schedule. He regularly teaches two or more times a year in such places as Boston, MA, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Austin, TX, Ithaca, NY, Toms River, NJ, Boulder, CO, and Laguna Beach, CA. Of course, you can also travel to China for comprehensive study.

Students are welcome to make appointments for personalized teaching sessions or remote healing sessions. Individualized lessons can be done via conference call (Zoom, Skype) and fees are $500 per hour.

What if I want to learn something from Master Zhang that he isn’t teaching in the workshop?

You can make arrangements to come to where he is currently teaching to arrange private lessons with him. He is usually available to teach privately wherever he is in the United States. In fact, this is a great way to learn some of the weapons forms and advanced forms of Bagua and other martial arts. Of course, he is also available for private healing sessions.

How do I get a Teacher’s Certificate?

Teacher’s Certificates are available from Master Zhang in Internal Kungfu, Medical Qigong and Martial Qigong. You can also pursue certificate studies within these disciplines such as Taiji, Bagua, Xingyi, Daoist Medical Qigong, Buddhist Medical Qigong or Swordsmanship.

When you begin your studies with Master Zhang you will have an extensive interview with Master Zhang and he will develop your customized program of study and its components based on your needs. Then you can fulfill these components through attendance at workshops or through private lessons. Master Zhang will test you at intervals to appraise your progress. For those of you who are already students of Master Zhang you can discuss with him what you have studied so far and the area of study you wish to receive a teacher’s certificate.

How long does it take to get a Teacher’s Certificate?

This is not a quick certificate that so many give after a weekend of study. The length of time is determined by you and Master Zhang depending on the depth and breadth of your area of study. The Medical Qigong Teacher’s Certificate requires 500 hours of instruction through workshops, private lessons, and/or work-study at any of workshops or locations throughout the U.S.A or in China. This is a special opportunity to learn from a genuine Master. Some students progress faster than others. Some of the techniques may take months to develop, some you may already be proficient at. But only the Master can determine your progress. Master Zhang wants his students to also become Masters.

Are there scholarships available?

Yes, depending on our donations there are some scholarships available. Of course, there is great demand for a lower tuition rate, but you are always encouraged to further your studies. You should consult with us to determine your eligibility and needs.
